  1. Axes- displays/hides the primary axes of a chart.
  2. Area- similar to line chart. Also emphasizes changes in values.
  3. Chart- a graphical representation of data in a worksheet.
  4. Chart Sheet- a separate sheet within a workbook that has it's own sheet name.
  5. Data Marker- refer to the bars,areas, dots, slices, or other symbols in a chart that represent single data points or values that originate from a worksheet cell.
  6. Data Series- includes related data points that are plotted on a chart.
  7. Embedded Chart- is one placed in the same worksheet that contains the data used to create the chart.
  8. Grid Lines- are lines added to chart for easier viewing and evaluation of data.
  9. Legend- this ab adds adds a legend to the chart area and places the selected legend in the location you want.
  10. Plot Area- in a 2-dimensional chart, this is the area bounded by axes, including all the data series. In a 3-dimensional chart, this is the area bounded by axes, including the data series, category names, thick-mark labels, and axis titles.
  11. Tick Marks- are small lines of measurement.

  1. Auto Shapes- is a group of ready-made shapes that includes basic shapes.
  2. Clip Art- is a single piece of ready-made art, often appearing as a bitmap or a combination of drawn shapes.
  3. Picture- is a file that represents an image.
  4. Word Art- consists of text objects you create with ready-made effects to which you can apply additional formatting options.
